Frequently Asked Questions

How to turn Comments off?

There’s a WordPress function you should use. It’s called “discussion”. Use it to get rid of the commenting area for any page, post or project

To enable Discussion you should open any page or post and find in the top right corner the Screen Options tab. When you’ll click on it the following menu will roll down:

Find here this option and tick it on.
You’ll get this menu somewhere below the content area:

Tick out all two arrows to disable comments.

My Contact Form Widget suddenly disappeared from the sidebar.

Something went wrong, but we have one tip for you.

Please, check whether your Form Builder plugin is active. And when you activate it, you should add the Contact Form Widget to the sidebar again.

Why doesn't my contact form work?

After filling in and sending the form it says “Your message was sent”, but I get no e-mails.

Perhaps you have Text Fields instead of Email Field here. It should be like this.

Also your contact form may be workable, but all the e-mails could be stuck in your spam folder.
Try to deactivate your plugins one by one and see whether one of them affects.

You can have some mailing restriction at your server. Please, get to know whether your hosting provider could change some settings on the server without your permission.

And finally, you may try to deactivate the theme and then reactivate it back. It means you should activate some other theme (default one, for example) and then turn on Roundone again.

The form sends the contact information without a message or doesn’t include anything except the text. It gives strange messages or doesn’t send anything at all.

Probably your fields’ names are different from the code in the Message Composer. This could happen if you’ve changed your fields’ names after creating a for and haven’t changed the code.

For example, you have Email field, you called it “Email” and created
“Email: [%Email%]“
text in the Message Composer so you could get the message
Email: youremail@mail.com
But if you change the field name to “E-mail” your code should be changed too into “Email: [%E-mail%]“

Otherwise you’ll get the following message to your e-mail after submitting:
Email: [%Email%]

It won’t recognize the e-mail itself.

I’ve tried to install Roundone, but I get this message: “the style.css is missing”
This is a common issue. Please read the second part of this article.

Don’t forget you shouldn’t install to your wp-content/themes the entire theme archive received from Themeforest (with all docs and fixes) .

Please, make sure you follow carefully our instructions on theme installation. You can find them here.

The last thing you should check is… What is the actual product you’re trying to use: a WP theme or HTML template.

Yep, it happens.

People buy HTML templates and try to install them as a WordPress themes.

If you’re one of those unfortunates:

Oh, bad luck. But it’s impossible and fully beyond our control to provide refunds or exchange themes, as all selling rights belong to Themeforest. And we regret to inform you there’s no way to get a refund even from Themeforest – they’re pretty strict and won’t give you money back just because you were inattentive.

Please, be careful next time.

I installed Demo Content, but all the images don't show up. Why?

It’s ok. All the images for our demo content are colored rectangles.

We don’t sell images, they were used for preview only.
Demo content helps you to set your site up, but not fill it with actual content.

How to make images scale automatically?
You can use CSS class fullwidth in the Advanced image settings (but before saving, please, delete height value). Just set this class for all of your images.

 Unfortunately logo can’t be scalable.

Why my contact form doesn't work?

After installing demo content navigation menu is messed. What should I do?

Please, specify menu from the list in Appearance/Menus.
How to remove the circle animation, which appears when open some project?

Actually this effect can’t be disabled – there’s no such option in this heme. But you may set it up using custom CSS. Just type there .portfolio_placeholder {display:none;}.

Upload theme via FTP

  • in: Installation

To upload Roundone theme to your server via FTP, you need to unzip and copy all the files from “roundone” folder to wp-content/themes/roundone directly on the server (use only lower case letters!).

Thereafter Roundone theme will be available for activation in WP admin panel: Appearance/Themes. Activate it by clicking “Activate”.
Before activation turn all your plugins off – they may affect.
Then, in case of need, you can add a demo-content on your site.

For correct functionality, please, make sure that there are no nested folders like /wp-content/themes/roundone/roundone. Also you shouldn’t copy entire theme archive got from Themeforest to your server – only unzipped roundone.zip.

If you’ve faced some error in the process of theme activation, please, make sure you have followed our instructions carefully. Your server settings may restrict some theme features, so you can try to contact your hosting support to get a resolution. If the issue persists, disable all plugins and try again.
